Meet Senior Corporate Counsel Susan Hogan.
Her advice: “It’s important to the overall balance of my life and I don’t think I could feel happy in my career if I weren’t also giving back to the community through volunteer service.”
Susan and her daughters are members of a mother-daughter service organization that volunteers with many different philanthropies in the community. They have worked with the North Texas Food Bank, Community Partners of Dallas, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Komen 3-Day Walk and Operation Kindness Animal Shelter, to name a few.
Meet Copart Moncton Load Operator Trevor Mason
Currently, Trevor volunteers as a Searcher for a search and rescue organization in New Brunswick, Canada. He undergoes rigorous monthly trainings where his team learns wilderness survival, first-aid and tracking tactics. He is also doing more training to eventually become a field team leader.“Take the things you love and find something that uses those skills or talents. I, for example, love to hike and help people. Ground search and rescue was a great fit.”
#VolunteerSpotlight: Meet Copart Dealer Services Account Manager Michael Chapin
“My career experience has actually made a difference in my volunteering experience. I use similar principals, ethics and overall team spirit with the kids that I coach from what I’ve experienced while working at Copart.”
Michael spends 7-8 hours per week coaching two youth soccer teams (U6 an U14 divisions) in Fairfield, California. His U14 team recently took first place in their indoor soccer league. The year before they had an undefeated season!

The Copart Catastrophe Response Fleet (CCRF) has been busy in Minnesota and Wisconsin picking up customer vehicles during a winter of record snowfalls. Additionally, they have been working in fire-ravaged California completing pickups of burned vehicles from the Paradise Fires.
Our CCRF Drivers are up for any task while working in extreme conditions for weeks on end and away from their families. Thank you to our Drivers for all your hard work and dedication!

On Feb. 14, 2019, Copart UK was proud to support the annual I Love Claims (ILC) Day to raise funds for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity by wearing red to work.
Colleagues across our 15 UK locations rocked something red, and organized bake sales, raffles and games. Combined with a contribution to the ILC Raffle, Copart UK raised over £1,800.
ILC (I Love Claims), which launched in 2010, is a collaboration of like-minded individuals and businesses focused on shaping a claims world that is sustainable for all.
Since it began in 2013, ILC Day has raised more than £61,000 for ILC’s official charity partner, the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. Rainbow Trust provides bespoke emotional and practical support to families who have a child (up to the age of 18) with a serious illness.
Karen Langley, Marketing & Internal Communications Executive at Copart UK, said: “We were delighted to join forces with other members of the claims community to support the annual ILC Day and help raise funds for this amazing charity, which provides vital support to families with a seriously ill child.”
