Copart volunteers were back again on New Year’s Day to support Vogel Alcove‘s annual Day 1 Dallas event. Vogel Alcove is a non-profit organization whose mission is to end the cycle of poverty by helping young children overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness.
This year, the event was moved to a new location in Frisco, TX at the Dr Pepper Ballpark, home of the Frisco RoughRiders, and the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center. With hundreds of volunteers and a variety of engaging activities, music and delicious food for attendees to enjoy, Day 1 Dallas strives to give families an opportunity to have fun together.
Copart and Cash For Cars donated a “Paint Car” and “Smash Car,” offering kids a unique chance to release some creative energy. The team also supplied custom Copart cornhole boards for families to enjoy. To close the evening, a beautiful firework show lit up the sky over the ballpark stadium. Copart is proud to sponsor such an important cause in the local community of its Dallas-based headquarters. A special thanks goes out to all our volunteers!
