On August 4, 2018, the CashForCars.com Team celebrated the end of a record-breaking fiscal year at the legendary Bowery Ballroom in New York City. When they arrived at the Bowery Ballroom, they were not prepared for what they were about to see. David Sutkin Director of CashForCars.com was playing bass guitar on stage for Apollo’s Ghost!
When Sutkin isn’t working at CashForCars.com, he spends his time as a bass guitarist for the Brooklyn-based alternative-rock band. Sutkin tries to keep his double life undercover by spending the day enhancing CashForCars.com. However, the Fender jazz bass guitar tattoo adorning his tattoo might be a big giveaway that Sutkin is a part-time rock star.
Sutkin has been a musician from the start. After taking a hiatus and focusing on session work, he sought the adrenaline of playing in front of a crowd. In 2017 David posted his music portfolio on Craigslist. It didn’t take long for him to find a perfect musical match. When Ben Curtis and Ray Mazza played their first gig with David, there was an immediate musical chemistry between the alternative trio.
When the CashForCars.com Team saw David Sutkin playing on stage they immediately became excited. The energy that filled the Bowery Ballroom was vivacious. “I shouted ‘Copart, how are we doing’ and the roar I heard back was awesome,” said David Sutkin, “it meant a lot that so many of my colleagues were there to support me.”
David lives life to the fullest. He works hard and plays harder. In the future, he hopes to play for a Copart corporate outing.
The band is a three-piece avant-garde instrumental rock band. Their sound is an eclectic blend, influenced by psychedelic blues and anthemic throwbacks from the nineties.
