On July 26, 2018, Copart and Bright Excavation employees gathered at the Copart Catastrophe (CAT) Yard in Forney, TX for the unveiling of the brand-new Copart Catastrophe Response Concourse.
Employees were able to get a behind-the-scenes look at Copart’s readiness in the wake of potential catastrophes. Members of the Copart Catastrophe Response Team were on site during the event and answered questions about Copart’s CAT efforts. During the launch, employees toured the three new hospitality trailers, mobilized offices and command centers.
“The CAT launch went really well. We were finally able to see all of our ideas turn into reality,” said Kayla Kendall, Outdoor Event Coordinator at Copart.
The new CAT Concourse brings convenience and comfort to our Sellers when disaster strikes. Copart can provide an unmatched experience, staying true to Copart’s vision. This asset was designed with our Sellers and their insureds in mind.
“We’ve got our Sellers’ backs. We understand their needs. We take care of them like no other company can. That’s the bottom line,” said Chief Sales and Product Officer Rob Vannuccini
Additionally, the Concourse was designed to turn a catastrophe response region into a fully operating Copart facility by allowing Copart employees to work with full functionality and speed. Copart has ample space on site for Sellers and our teams to run extremely efficiently when responding to a catastrophe.
“The building of the Concourse was a large undertaking, however, we felt it necessary as we continue to see growth in CATs and the large volume that continues to come on the heels of these major storms and events,” said Vannuccini.
