Meet Erica Spielman. She recently moved her Copart career from our location in Colorado Springs to headquarters in Dallas, TX, and she’s excited to hit the ground running!
“An employee who recently transferred to a new position reached out to me,” said Erica about her decision to move from DMV Title Clerk at Yard 118 to Asset/Inventory Support Specialist at headquarters. “Once I heard more about the position, I was inclined to apply. I’m excited to learn new thing, gain experiences, and get my name out there with the company.”
We asked Erica a few more questions about her decision to move her career forward with Copart, what she’ll miss about her Colorado Springs team and what she’s looking most forward to:
What are you most excited about in your new position?
“I’m most excited about meeting the people I’ve emailed on a daily basis, as well as learning more processes and procedures to further my career. Being from Alaska, an opportunity to move to Texas was a no-brainer for me.”
What will you miss most about your Copart team in Colorado?
“I will miss Yard 118’s fantastic sense of humor, specifically Yard Manager Karl Noe’s jokes. It really felt like being with family instead of working most days. Everyone works together so efficiently and are more than willing to help each other when it’s needed. That’s why I believe they are one of the most efficient running yards I’ve been too thus far.”

How will the skills you’ve learned at Copart help you in your new position?
“My DMV/Title experience will certainly help me in my new position. Being knowledgeable with every state’s processes will allow me to efficiently clean up aged inventory to keep cars moving to sale, and that will keep our sellers happy! Coming from a yard also gives me a different perspective because I know from that level how things operate.”
What advice do you have for anyone thinking of moving their career with Copart?
“Go with your gut! Life is too short to be intimidated by it.. make big moves!”
What’s one random fact about you (non-work related) that people might not know?
“I am a second degree blackbelt in Taekwondo and Hapkido!”
Thanks, Erica! We wish you all the best in your new role.
