Marketing Profiles: Acquisition Team

Copart’s Acquisition Team focuses on securing new Buyers and keeping them around, both domestically and internationally. They directly manage 24 Copart social media accounts, oversee management of an additional 18 international social media accounts, and monitor the analytics and insights from data received from the various accounts.

Social media provides the perfect opportunity to expand Copart’s reach. From featured vehicle promotions to the most recent news, the Acquisition Team has it covered!

We recently sat down with the team to learn more about their individual roles.

Kaci Schack, Senior Marketing Manager

Meet Kaci Schack. She’s Copart’s Senior Marketing Manager. Kaci has worked with Copart for four years, beginning in content marketing, which was a natural progression to acquisition.

Describe your role on the Acquisition Team.
I am responsible for the social media advertising, primarily through Facebook and Instagram ads. I also monitor and report on analytics and make strategic decisions based on our findings. As the Social Media Team lead, I am a resource for social media across the company, including our international teams. And although it’s not my primary responsibility, I enjoy responding to Facebook messages and visitor posts on our Facebook pages.”

What projects are you currently working on?
“I am currently working with my colleagues across the marketing team to execute a variety of projects and campaigns: several featured vehicle campaigns, a Night Cap Sale campaign, an education campaign about exporting vehicles, and more. In addition to campaign management, I lead the marketing efforts to acquire dealer and dismantler buyers. I also write and deploy press releases about new locations, expansions, website features and functionality, and other company announcements.”

What have you enjoyed most about working at Copart?
“I like working for a company in which I feel like I’m making an impact every day. Whether it’s gaining new buyers, retaining our existing buyers, supporting international teams with their marketing efforts, or implementing new tactics (like influencer marketing, for example), I appreciate the freedom I’m given here to make the decisions necessary to best benefit the company. I really like working for Michelle, and we have a fantastic, talented team, so what more can you ask for?”

What is the first car you owned?
“A silver 2001 Dodge Intrepid, which my dad bought secondhand from a friend of the family.”


Neesh Sharma, Online Marketing Manager

Meet Neesh Sharma. He joined Team Copart over two years ago and serves as the International Online Marketing Manager.

Describe your role on your team.
“I primarily focus on Copart’s Global Buyer base with the goal to send more cars to the international markets.”

What projects are you currently working on?
“My top projects are growing Copart’s international market, Buyer retention, and monetization of”

What have you enjoyed most about working at Copart?
“I really enjoy the work/life balance working at Copart.”

What was the first car you owned?
“A 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage; unfortunately, I ended up totaling the car after 2 months and had to settle for a 1992 Mercury Sable.”


Weston Berkovsky, Acquisition Marketing Specialist

Meet Weston Berkovsky. He is Copart’s Acquisition Marketing Specialist! Weston recently celebrated his work anniversary, as he joined Team Copart one year ago. He started his career as an intern and was soon offered a full-time position.

Describe your role on the Social Media Team?
“Along with creating and posting all organic social media content for Copart and its brands, I manage specific vehicle and inventory promotions that are distributed on social media and elsewhere. I also answer all messages, comments and other correspondence with our customers that come through social media. Additionally, our international teams contact me as a resource for any social media questions or assistance.”

What projects are you currently working on?
“Currently the social team is working with other departments on various inventory and education campaigns to be deployed on social media. We are also continuing to develop website and blog content to reach new buyers and educate our Members. In 2017 the social media team also started exploring influencer marketing and the possibilities that it offers. Currently, we are working with multiple automotive YouTube personalities to promote Copart on the video platform, and we’re very excited to continue exploring this marketing trend.”

What is the first car you owned?
“When I was 16, I got my older brother’s black 2004 Cadillac CTS, and I couldn’t have been happier. I still miss that car…”
