Little Hats, Big Hearts at Copart New Britain

Team Copart members from Yard 23, Copart New Britain, recently worked together to crochet hats for newborn babies at their local hospital as part of the Little Hats, Big Hearts initiative put in place by the American Heart Association in connection with The Children’s Heart Foundation.

The Little Hats, Big Hearts program helps raise awareness, provide resources and inspire moms to take care of the health of their heart and their children’s hearts through tiny red hat donations to local hospitals.

The participants at Yard 23 were very passionate about creating hats for the local Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Over 80 hats were crocheted and delivered to the premature babies residing at the NICU.

“The ladies on my team have a heart of gold. Dawn introduced the idea to us after she saw a Facebook post. She wanted to bring awareness to a great cause, and once we learned more about the program, it took us no time to jump right in and started knitting hats,” said Brian Philips, AGM of Copart New Britain.

Every baby deserves something from the heart. Thank you, Copart New Britain, for all your hard work in creating these little hats.
