In September, Copart sponsored three Quad City area residents who set off on a journey to bicycle 1,600 miles in 21 days. They traveled south from the headwaters of the Mississippi to its mouth in New Orleans to raise funds for the benefit of the elderly and adults with disabilities within the community.

“Not only did we rise to the challenge, we partnered with our three local Quad City locations: the Iowa Call Center, Copart Eldridge and CrashedToys Eldridge to fundraise for the entire month of September. We held raffle sales, dress down days, luncheons, vending and bake sales, and more—gaining support from, not only our Copart employees, but also our Copart Members and Transporters,” said Mindy Mathews, Senior Business and Finance Analyst.
Together, our Iowa team was able to raise over $2,000 for this amazing cause, earning a special thumbs up from the cyclists as they rode past the New Orleans location on the last leg of their journey. On October 5, Mindy and Office Manager Rodell Morgart attended the unveiling ceremony where the three cyclists announced that they had raised $108,494 for local families and organizations.
