October 12 is a special holiday celebrated in the country of Brazil. Originally, it was used to honor Our Lady of Aparecida, the country’s patron saint. It is now celebrated in conjunction with Children’s Day, a special day for children to receive gifts.
Children’s Day was created when Rio de Janerio, the country’s capital at the time, hosted the South American Congress for Children. After the event, a congressman from Rio established Children’s Day.
On this day, people traditionally give toys and other items to kids to show them that they are loved and valued. The Copart Brazil team distributed toys to underprivileged children that live in a community next to the Itaqua yard. “It was a very special moment where our employees could share the happiness of the children,” said Marcia Paciulli, Human Resources Manager.
Great job, Copart Brazil! Thank you for making a difference in the young lives of your community.
