It has been about three weeks since Hurricane Harvey swept through South Texas and Louisiana causing severe rain and flooding that affected thousands of citizens. Copart’s CAT team deployed immediately to affected areas to begin relief efforts, picking up abandoned and flooded cars. While Houston and surrounding areas begin the process of rebuilding and healing, Copart Team members from around the U.S. have shown their support in various ways.
Member Services Team
Our Member Services Team, based in Iowa, raised money and used it to purchase much-needed items, such as toiletries, hygiene products, clothing, crayons and coloring books and baby items.
Nicole Tavizon and Maria Martinez-Azua hand-delivered the items to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, which is serving as a shelter for Houston citizens. “It was a great trip, and it was amazing to see how many donations they had received from around the area and across the U.S.,” said Nicole.
Copart National Network Team
The CAT Team Snack Shack was created for the Copart National Network Team. During this time, representatives will be working with a higher volume of calls. The Snack Shack offers a plethora of snacks to keep CAT team responders energized.
The team gathered supplies for donation over Labor Day weekend.
Copart Columbia sent a message of love and support to Texas.
Thank you, Team Copart, for helping, not only your Copart family, but all those affected.
