Last week, Copart Shreveport welcomed the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), Louisiana State Troopers, the Shreveport Police Department, and the Caddo Parish Sheriff to their location for auto theft training.
“This is the first time for us to host the NICB, but we’ve always enjoyed working with city, parish and state law enforcement departments,” said General Manager Jeff Stuart.

The above plaque was given to Copart in appreciation of lending their yard for training purposes.
Auto theft training is an essential skill for law enforcement, and the NICB gives training for teams to better detect insurance fraud and vehicle theft crimes. According to the NICB website: “Fraud investigators require highly specialized training and education to detect and investigate fraudulent insurance claims and uncover potentially large-scale criminal conspiracies.”
Copart Shreveport hopes to hold more events like this in the future, and they’re proud to give back to their community.
