The Intern Insider: Sales Team Edition

Welcome back to the second part of my series, The Intern Insider, where I will relay my experience in getting to know the Copart Sales Team.

The Copart Sales team works hard to keep the lights on here at Copart and provides the company with numerous business opportunities. From winning new business and driving crucial revenue, to supporting existing contracts to solidify relations, the Copart Sales team works hard to successfully move potential business down the sales funnel.

One way that the sales team is able to support existing clients is through creating professional, strategic presentations—these presentations are essential to retaining some of our biggest clients. Furthermore, these presentations help generate an ease of access to various channels like dealers and charities. With the prospect of always gaining new business, Sales is always actively growing business here at Copart. Sales have been actively working to expand our relationship with Progressive to a national level. As well as, focusing on Germania Insurance as a new business client.

The Sales team has a culture that resembles a family. Everyone within the department continuously works hard throughout the year and can perform various tasks on any given day. The ability to share information with one another has led to the success of the Sales department. Jim Miller, National Sales Manager here at Copart, praised Chris Hart for his never say no attitude. Jim simply puts it, “He’s the man, he’s knowledgeable and dependable; what more could you want?”

The Copart Sales Team has been exceptional in driving business for Copart. For instance; they most recently closed on Western General Insurance, a huge win for Copart. With the most recent catastrophe in Louisiana, Sales was able to diligently work with clients and help the influx of lots coming into Copart.

Meet Sebastian Piras, Brand Marketing Intern at Copart! Sebastian is a Dallas native and wouldn’t have it any other way. While he is currently pursuing a Marketing degree at the University of Texas at Dallas, he always makes time for sports and greatly enjoys the great outdoors.
