Throughout the past few months the HR Department has been working hard behind the scenes to align themselves to better serve the needs of our growing Copart family. HR is excited to announce a few enhancements and promotions to achieve their goal of providing exceptional service to their customers—Copart employees.
Meet Copart’s HR personnel and learn more about their role!
Promotions and Enhancements:
Michael has been promoted from Recruiter to Manager of Talent Acquisition. Mike has been with Copart for just over three years. Now, moving towards our goal of branding Copart as a career destination, Mike will be responsible for overseeing the department and attracting and hiring top tier talent for Copart.
A little bit about Mike: He has lived in the United States for 20 years after having moved from the U.K. He considers himself a “naturalized Texan” and spends his free time chasing after twin 6-year-old boys. Before deciding that Recruiting was “his thing” he was an amateur boxer with more than 200 fights under his belt. Mike also claims that Arnold Schwarzenegger once lifted him up with one hand.
Kallie has recently been given the new role of HR Generalist. She has been with Copart for just over two years and previously served as our HR Coordinator. Now, Kallie will focus on projects and implementations, support of ReplaceMyCar as they grow and also continue to manage the processes that keep the HR Department humming on a daily basis.
A little bit about Kallie: She runs for fun and completed two half marathons last year. She is a native Texan who is married to her college sweetheart. They have a little girl, Harper who is 3 and are expecting a little boy later this year.
Christina has recently been given the new role of HR Generalist. Christina has been with Copart for more than four years and made the move from California to Dallas when the HQ office relocated. She has functioned as our guru of all things Worker’s Comp, Unemployment, Leave of Absence administration and pre-employment requirements. Now, she will maintain some of her old responsibilities while adding in other functional areas of Human Resources.
A little bit about Christina: She’s a new mom to Dominick and is currently finishing up her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Christina will be the first one in her family to graduate college since her grandparent’s in the 60s. Christina supports the Yankees and is an avid UFC and horror movie fan.
Heidi will be taking over responsibility for the company’s benefits as the new Benefits Administrator. Heidi has been with Copart for six years and previously worked in Copart’s Payroll Department. Prior to joining the Payroll Department, Heidi was a Benefits Specialist in HR. We are really excited to have her back in Benefits!
A little bit about Heidi: She’s an Auntie of four, very active in her church, loves to travel and will be taking a trip to New Zealand in the fall.
Kelsey has been given a new role as HR Coordinator. She has been with Copart since 2009 when she interned while also going to college. After graduating she joined the Payroll team with Copart and has served as Copart’s ADP Transaction Specialist since. Now, she will be responsible for many of the programs that are front facing to our employees such as Tuition Reimbursement and the Service Star Employee Recognition Program.
A little bit about Kelsey: She was recently a finalist when trying out for Wheel of Fortune, she played collegiate water polo and is a master baker who has quickly become a fan favorite at Corporate for the sweet treats she brings in.
Recent additions to the HR team:
Ralph has joined Copart as the Regional Human Resource Manager. Ralph joins us with extensive experience providing HR leadership to big-box and specialty retailers. Most recently he supported 23 service centers and 500 stores for Rent-A-Center.
A little bit about Ralph: He and his wife Christine live in Plano, Texas and have 3 sons, all married, all living in their own homes and paying their own bills. In his free time, Ralph and his wife (affectionately known as the crazy cat lady) feed and occasionally trap feral cats.
Muzzy is joining Copart as a Talent Acquisition professional with over 10 years of experience working in the Middle East, North Africa and North America in the Energy, Healthcare, Aviation and Construction Sectors.
A little bit about Muzzy: He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and politics from the University of Liverpool John Moores UK, a post graduate certificate in education from the University of Leeds UK and can fluently speak Arabic. He began his career as a high school history teacher, he plays soccer, is a part-time comedian and a fantastic cook!
