What brought you into the field you are working in?
I love being creative and having to think strategically; two traits that go hand in hand with marketing. I’m particularly passionate about search marketing as it’s hands-on and very effective for generating leads. As the Search Marketing Manager, I’m tasked with acquiring new buyers looking for our services on search engines (e.g. Google, Yahoo, and Bing). Because we serve several unique target audiences, it’s critical that marketing efforts enable people to clearly and quickly understand our brand, as well drive the most qualified people to Copart.com. I’m able to accomplish both by using my creativity and strategic thinking to uncover keywords, search phrases, text ad copy, display ad creative, content on landing pages, and bidding strategies that generate new buyers at the lowest cost.
What’s your favorite part about working at Copart?
Prior to Copart, I worked for a digital ad agency for 6+ years. Employee turnover was high and overall office morale was low. Since joining Copart, I’ve enjoyed establishing positive working relationships with my coworkers and being in an environment where each person wants to see the other succeed.

What career advice would you give someone that is starting off in your field?
Network, network, network. Both internally within your company and externally within your field. Networking will enable you to accelerate your professional growth, provide access to knowledge resources, open doors to new career opportunities, and so much more.
What is your favorite memory at Copart?
Having the opportunity to present a presentation to several executives.
How does your work help Copart buyers, sellers or the industry as a whole?
My work is focused on bringing new buyers to Copart.com via SEM (search engine marketing) and SEO (search engine optimization) initiatives. I aim to ensure that when people search for our products/services on a search engine (e.g. Google, Yahoo and Bing,) Copart’s presence on the search results page is robust and positive. This is key for driving people to our website and converting those people into new buyers.

What is one of your bucket list items? To backpack through Europe.
What are you binge watching right now? Breaking Bad
Favorite sports team: Honestly none. Not big on sports.
Favorite vehicle: Lexus IS 250
What is one interesting fact about you? My sister and I are ten months apart, so for two months each year we are the same age. We often will joke around and tell people we are twins during this time 🙂
